Cecilia Castaneda

Cecilia is an awesome parent of two balancing, working two jobs and running a household. Cecilia has worked at Muskegon Public Schools since 2004. Cecilia has held almost every position beside teacher or principal at Nelson Elementary School. Lunchroom supervisor, Lunch Lead Supervisor, classroom assistant, Office Manager, special classroom of autistic students ranging from ages 6-11 as a Para Educator and those are just the role she get paid for. Cecilia has been a serial volunteer and co-started the Parent Teacher Organization at Nelson Elementary School where she’s also held Secretary, Vice President and President title in the organization. Cecilia has chaired several large events and fundraisers raising thousands of dollars at an annual Halloween party that had service 700 people in 3 hours. Cecilia Managed 52 volunteers for the school carnival that raised over 3K for student field trips the following year.  The carnival averaged over 400 participants. Cecilia organized bake, popcorn, sucker, and pencil sales that helped offset the cost of number of activities throughout the building. Affectionately called Ms. Ceci by the students she cares about, she’s been recognized as parent of the year 3 times, and volunteer of the year twice posted on a plaque in the entrance of the school.

Upon working with Muskegon Public Schools, Cecilia has also been a part of the growth of Clincorp Group LLC, an Information Technology company that specializes in building web applications, design websites, and IT direct services. Cecilia started off with Clincorp as an administrative assistant, office manager and now Chief Operation Officer.
